Termarr Johnson left Friday's game early after getting hit by the pitch on the hand. He was down for some time clearly in pain. The Bucs announced on Sunday that Konnor Griffin is being promoted to AA Altoona.
In August Termarr Johnson finally started hitting as we expected him to in Altoona spraying hits all over the field. He was batting .421/.465/.605 during the month and was looking to follow Jase Bowen for a promotion to AAA. There has not been any news of Johnson's status after the HBP yet.
Konnor Griffin was also having a great August slashing .328/.447/.508. His SB for the month was up compared to earlier in the year, and his power is returning from a "down" July.
If Termarr and Griffin can play together and continue their recent success it would be a huge confidence boost to us Bucco fans to give hope that a 2026 debut for both players is on the table.
